Building For The Future Today To Better Serve Our Communities
For the past 115 years in Alberta we’ve proven that
St. John Ambulance saves lives at work, home and play.
We want you to be a part of next 115.
In January 2012, St. John Ambulance, Alberta Council, purchased a facility located at 7236 – 10th Street NE in Calgary to meet increased training demands and expanding community services. Through our highly skilled instructors and trained volunteers, St. John Ambulance contributed thousands of hours of service, equating to $15 million of economic value annually.
In 2011 St. John Ambulance - Alberta Council:
•Trained over 130,000 Albertans in CPR, First Aid or other injury prevention skills
•Treated over 650 casualties at over 800 venues
•Has over 1,000 certified instructors
•Has over 600 trained Volunteers
St. John Ambulance is a member of one of the world’s oldest humanitarian organizations -- the Order of St. John. We are a self-funded, registered charity with no dependency on government funding. Course fees, donations and grants provide revenue to support St. John Ambulance volunteer services in your community.
The Calgary facility is a $10 million project which is a significant undertaking for our Council. We are looking to corporations, businesses, organizations and individuals who not only share our vision, goals and commitment to community but want to support this capital project through a financial donation or meaningful partnership.
For over 900 years, St. John Ambulance has been providing training, care and services throughout the world and rarely ask for financial assistance, however, we are asking now.
If you are interested in being a sponsor for any of the above programs, please see the The Donate Now section for more information.
As we move closer to our goal of raising enough funds for a new facility in Calgary we are proud to remember our history of giving, we are proud to continue to make a difference, we are proud to continue training over 25, 000 Calgarians each year. Today, we are asking for your help to continue this tradition and to do it with your eyes and hearts on an organization that trains over 100,000 Albertans in first aid.
